We don't offer a health guarantee, we offer references instead. Most health guarantees are full of fluff. They give you just a few days to take the pup to the vet and usually guarantee against things that would cost you a lot of money to determine.

Think about this scenario, you see an adorable pup online and purchase it. You have it shipped to you. You go to the vet (usually only a specialist can determine a heart or other organ defect). After you have spent a couple of hundred dollars and assume the vet does find something wrong. In order for your health guarantee to be valid you had to go to the vet within your alloted time, get the diagnosis (extra time is usually given to receive results), and RETURN the puppy to the breeder to get your refund. All of this while you have already began to bond with your bundle of joy.

$250 shipping to you
$200 vet bill for tests non refundable (average)
$250 to ship back to breeder

- $300 refund of puppy purchase price.

I really hate to say it but this is what a lot of breeders count on. Not all, but a lot of these so called health guarantees are fluff. Some breeders count on you either not taking the puppy to the vet in time or that the out of pocket cost on your end just doesn't make it feasable for you to return the pup. I would rather provide you with healthy puppies upon receipt and references from people that have purchased puppies or adult dogs from me in the past.
